Greece, where 80~90% of the population is the Greek Orthodox Church, is planning to legalize homosexual marriage and adoptions by gay couples. Saying “We’re going to legalize marriage equality, and this means removing all discrimination regarding sexual orientation,” Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis announced that his administration would allow adoptions by gay couples, but they could not be parents by way of any surrogate mothers. Prior to Kyriakos, in December, 2015 worrying about the damage of traditional family values, the Greek Orthodox Church strongly resisted when the Greek assembly passed the bill of homosexual combining

While being imprisoned, the apostle Paul told the Philippian congregation to work out their own salvation with fear and trembling not only as in his presence but much more in his absence. Now is the time for the Greek churches to obey God and work out their own salvation with fear and trembling in God’s presence.

Let’s pray God may have His mercy on Greece that without fear brings shame on God’s glory trying to allow same-sex marriage and adoptions by gay people, so that the plans of the administration would fail and the Greek people repent.

“Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.”(Philippians 2:12_ESV) [GPNews]
